Sean M. Kelly, 58, of Sherburne, died in his residence surrounded by family, on Thursday, March 28, 2024.
Sean was born in Flushing, NY, on November 25, 1965, a son of the late Joseph and Dolores (Scott) Kelly. He grew up in Hollis-Queens, NY, where he attended school there. He later moved to Sherburne with his family where he worked at Kenyon Press. Most of his life, Sean cared for his disabled sister, Scarlett, but he also cared for his mother and aunt as they aged. He had a great passion for computers and working on cars. He will be remembered for his wit, sense of humor, and jokes on his family and friends.
Sean is survived by his wife, Dedra Wilson of Sherburne; siblings, Kathy Agricola of Long Island, Lauri Williams of Norwich, Quentin Kelly of Kirkwood, NY, Shannon (Raymond) Wright of Norwich, and Scarlett Kelly of Sherburne; step-son, Kenneth Greenwood, Jr. of Erieville, NY; step-daughter, Tina (William) Brooks of West Eaton, NY; uncle, Edward Scott of Sherburne, NY; aunt, Elizabeth Ryan of Norwich; his nephew, Nicholas Wright of Sherburne, who cared for Sean as his illness progressed; and many other loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Sean will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024 at the Wilson Funeral Home, where the Rev. Daniel Caughey, will officiate. Friends are invited to call at the Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, April 4, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday, April 5, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
