Grace Trush


NORWICH – Grace Trush, 93, of Norwich (formerly of Morrisville), departed peacefully from her earthly life surrounded by her loving family on May 5, 2010. 
Born on June 29, 1916 in Pottawatomie County, Okla., she was the daughter of James and Almeda (Tate) Anderson. Grace was united in Marriage on April 28, 1945 to Steven Trush, and they had one child, Nancy Jane. They operated their electronics business, Air-O-Tronics, in Morrisville until retirement in 1981.
Grace was a member of the Morrisville Community Church and an honorary life member of the United Presbyterian Women’s Association.  A woman of deep faith, Grace was also a member of Heart to Heart Bible Study Group and affiliated with the United Church of Christ, both of Norwich. She was very active in Girl Scouting and was awarded the Thanks Badge, the highest honor for adults.  Grace made friends wherever she was during her years in both Morrisville and Barefoot Bay, Fla., and more recently in Norwich at the Chenango Valley Home and at the C.V. Stratton Center for Therapies. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, aunt, and friend who always had a ready smile and warm hug.
Grace is survived by her husband, Steve, and her daughter, Jane Trush Conklin, both of Norwich, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by many brothers and sisters.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Morrisville Community Church, followed by internment at the Welsh Church Cemetery in Nelson. 
There will be no calling hours. 
A memorial service for Grace will be held at 1:30 p.m. on June 2 at the Chenango Valley Home, Norwich.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Building Fund of the Morrisville Community Church, PO Box 178, Morrisville, NY  13815.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville.
