Carl Danforth


SOUTH OTSELIC – Carl “Frankie” Danforth, 89, of South Otselic, passed away on May 14, 2010.
He was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Bertha Stevens Danforth, and beloved wife, Ruth Livermore Danforth. He is survived by his sons, Carl Danforth, Jr., and Richard Danforth and wife Deborah; his grandchildren: Michael Danforth and wife Ute, Jennifer Danforth, and Joanna Killigrew and husband Brian; and his great grandchildren, Lukas and Roxanne Danforth, Aidan and Noah Killigrew.
Frankie spent his childhood in Smyrna and Sherburne. Ineligible to enlist, he worked at Pratt Whitney Aircraft in Hartford, Conn., during World War II. Frankie spent most of his adult life as a dairy farmer in South Otselic, retiring in 1974. His favorite pastimes include a love of boating, card games, old movies, and listening to polka music.
Funeral services for Frankie will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. James Moore, pastor of the First Baptist Church of South Otselic, will officiate. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery of South Otselic. Friends are invited to call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service.
