GUILFORD – Thomas N. Creighton Jr., 77, of Guilford, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the New York State Veterans’ Home in Oxford.
Tom was born in September of 1932 in Poughkeepsie, the son of Thomas and Marie Hackbart Creighton. On Jan. 20, 1956, he married Lucille Fariello, who survives. He lived most of his life in the Poughkeepsie area where he was employed by IBM working in the Quality Assurance area. In 1993, Tom and his wife moved to the Guilford to be closer to their family. Tom was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served his country in the U.S. Army from January of 1953 through his honorable discharge in December of 1954.
Tom is survived by his wife Lucille of Guilford; his children: Thomas (Sandy) Creighton III of Wappinger Falls, Lisa (Mike) Algiere of Guilford and Susan (Andy) Beach of Morris. Also surviving are his grandchildren Stephanie (John) Hanchett, Alicia Creighton, Paul Creighton, Michael Lewis, Makayla Lewis and Samuel Beach.
Private funeral services for Tom will be held at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home with the Rev. Joseph Acanfora, Pastor of Christ Church of Gilbertsville officiating.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
