Leslie C. Lucas, 71, of Norwich passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Binghamton General Hospital after a short illness.
Born on January 2, 1952, in Norwich, Leslie was the son of Charles and Evelyn (Peck) Lucas. He was a life-long resident of Norwich. After high school he attended SUNY Cobleskill Community College. He worked for Bennett Ireland until closing. After that he worked for Airland Express, Howard’s Express and Catholic Charities until he retired.
He was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Norwich, also a member of the Masons, and an avid collector of anything penguins. Leslie enjoyed reading and driving around visiting friends and family.
Leslie is survived by his sister Shirley (Lucas) Cummings and husband James, his nephew James Cummings, his niece Jamie (Cummings) Hagenbuch along with great-nieces and -nephews Ethan Cummings, Braden Hagenbuch, Amiyah Cummings, McKenzie Hagenbuch and Malakai Hagenbuch.
There will be a celebration of life the spring 2024.
