Katheryn A. Pearson, 87, of DeRuyter passed away November 12, 2023.
She was born in Cortland, the daughter of Harmon and Ida Cappers Knapp.
Katheryn worked at various manufacturing facilities and retired as a line supervisor at Rubbermaid in Cortland.
She was a 53 year member of the Perry Cook Post 973 American Legion Auxiliary in South Otselic, and served as county President.
Surviving are daughters Donna (Tommy) Shedd of Middletown, MD., Rowena (Gene) Mead, Rebecca (Wesley) Palmer, Holly (Michael) Harris and son Drew (Melissa) Pearson all of DeRuyter; sister Barbara (Marcone) Tefft of Norwich; 13 grandchidren; 24 Great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Rupert of 51 years; her parents; and brothers Francis and Donald Knapp Sr.
The funeral service will be Friday November 17, 2023 at noon at Smith Funeral Home DeRuyter. Burial will be in Lincklaen Center Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Friday from 11 a.m. to noon at the Funeral Home.
