NORWICH – Evelyn B. Ford, 88, of O’Hara Drive, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006 at Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Evelyn was born in Masonville on March 12, 1918, the daughter of Edgar and Elsie (Dean) Harris. Evelyn had held various jobs at Scintilla and the Norwich Pharmacal Company, but mainly was a housewife and mother. She also was a bookkeeper for her husband’s accounting business.
Evelyn was the widow of Harold Ford who passed away in 1976. She is survived by her daughter, Eva Stone and her husband, Jack, of Oxford; four grandchildren; three sisters, Peg Froehlich of Earlville, Laura Hubbard of Norwich and Helen Cone of Oxford. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Evelyn was predeceased by a grandson, Michael Stone and two brothers, Kenneth and Millard Harris and a sister, Verna Manwarren.
Graveside services for Evelyn will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday in Mt. Hope Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
