Sherry J. Whitmore, 69, of N. Main St., Earlville, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at University Hospital in Syracuse.
She was born on April 21, 1954, in Norwich, the daughter of Marion and Virginia R. (Price) Maynard. Sherry attended Norwich schools.
On September 26, 1971, Sherry was united in marriage to Charles H. “Charlie” Whitmore in Chittenango, NY.
Sherry was the co-owner of Two Marry Maids and was the manager of the Little M in Earlville for several years.
Sherry and Charlie enjoyed many years of camping at the Ta-Ga-Soke Campgrounds in Sylvan Beach. She was a member of the Sylvan Beach American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading and scary movies.
Surviving besides her loving husband, Charlie, are two sons, Travis Whitmore (Barb Loveless) of Earlville, and Timothy (CherylAnn) Whitmore of Cicero; a beloved granddaughter, Micayla Whitmore; a sister, Patricia (Tom) Whitmore of Norwich; and several nieces.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Ironside Funeral Home, Inc., 342 Main St., Oneida. Family and friends are invited and may call on Friday prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
