Linda L. (Bauder) Graef of Lake Placid, Florida, and formerly Norwich, New York, passed away on July 14, 2023, in Sebring, Florida with her sons by her side, after a brief battle with breast cancer. Linda was born November 30, 1951, to Richard and Laura (Brigham) Bauder.
Linda was predeceased by her parents; her husband Robert “Danny” Graef; stepson Daniel Boone Graef, and her brother Mike Bauder. She is survived by her children, Keven (Lisa) Meyer, Keith (BobbieJo) Meyer and stepdaughter Jenny Graef; brothers Dan (Joan) Bauder and Ralph “Skeeter” (Betsy Barry) Bauder; loving granddaughter Stephanie (Dakota) Johnson; her nieces and nephews, and many close friends in both New York and Florida.
Linda enjoyed watching and playing golf, family gatherings, playing cards and cooking. She enjoyed many good times at the American Legions, VFWs and Elks Lodges; most recently at the Elks Lodge in Lake Placid, Florida where she made many close friends that she treasured.
Linda retired from the American Legion Post 189 in Norwich, New York after 29 years. Following retirement Linda and Danny lived out the remainder of their years in sunny Florida, which they truly enjoyed.
Linda will be missed dearly by her family and the many friends she made throughout her life.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 5 p.m. at the VFW Post 2782 in Norwich, NY.
