Cara Ladouceur


MANTUA, NJ – Cara Lenore LaDouceur 33, of Mantua, N.J. passed away unexpectedly May 1, 2010 in a scuba diving accident.
She is survived by her close friend Tony Rebardo, her parents Peter and Alice LaDouceur of Elbridge, her two sisters Susan LaDouceur of North Carolina and Elizabeth Monaco and her husband Frank of South New Berlin. Cara’s faithful dog Sam will truly miss her.
Cara was a graduate of Jordan-Elbridge High School and Ithaca College. She was the administration assistant to the Dean of Fine Arts at Rutgers University. Cara had a passion for scuba diving, mountain biking, swimming and she had an extraordinary talent for writing.
The family will receive friends at the Bush Funeral Home, 120 E. Main St. (Rt. 5) Elbridge on Friday from 2 p.m. with a brief commentary of Cara’s life at 5 p.m.
A celebration reception will immediately follow at the Elbridge White Church.
A private burial will be held at a later date in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Elbridge.
Contributions may be made in Cara’s memory to the Adventure Aquarium, 1 Riverside Drive, Camden, NJ 08103 or the CNY SPCA, 5878 E. Molloy Road, Syracuse, NY 13211.
