Agnes Kinney, 97, of Norwich, passed away on May 30, 2023. She was born in Obergrafendorf, Germany to the late Karl and Philomena Schafflhuber. Agnes grew up in Germany and as a young lady, she met and married Glenn Kinney and they made their home in Norwich until his passing on April 11, 2002. She was also predeceased by her grandson, Neal Somers, and her seven siblings.
Agnes is survived by her daughters, Rosemarie and Lane Anderson, and Philomena and Michael Close; her grandchildren, Christina and Colin Bridges, Erica Dennis, Jessica and Shayne Richardson, and Neal’s widow Nina Somers; her great-grandchildren, Claire, Colby, Emma, Alex, Miranda, and Kylie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6, at St. Bartholomew’s Church, 81 E. Main St. Norwich with Fr. Ralph Bove officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Agnes’ memory may be made to St. Bartholomew’s Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to R.J. Fahy Funeral Home.
