OXFORD – On April 20, 2010, Rodger C. Hubschmitt, 74, of Oxford, passed away at the West Palm Beach, Fla. Veterans Hospital, while visiting family.
He was the son of the late Milton and Katherine Honan Hubschmitt. Born on June 29, 1935.
On June 3, 1990, he married Cindy Golden, who survives.
Also surviving are his stepchildren, Michelle Golden of Florida and Paul Golden of Homer; and two grandchildren Mason Oliver and Aubrey Ann of Florida.
He is also survived by his brothers Milton (Helen) Hubschmitt, and Larry (Cindy) Hubschmitt, both of Oxford. Also surviving  are his Uncle Walt and Aunt Ann Honan, of El Paso, Texas. Rodger is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert L. Harrington Jr. of New York, Bonnie Cobb of Laurel, Del., Kent Harrington of Sardis, Minn., Scarlett Brown of Oxford, Zina and Michael Richards of Texas. Also several nieces and nephews, and a special niece, Sienna Brown of Oxford, who was born on his birthday.
Private memorial services will be at a later date in Oxford.
