Thelma O. Weaver, 106, of Sherburne, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, in the comfort of her own home on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. She was born on May 28, 1916 in Detroit, MI., a daughter of Gustav Alexander and Ragnhild Olofsson. Thelma was a graduate of Lansing Michigan High School and she attended design school in Chicago. Thelma married George L.H. Weaver in Lansing, MI., he predeceased her in 1993. In her younger years, Thelma enjoyed helping her father in his tool and die business. She was a homemaker most of her life and she loved to sew and decorate. She was a loving and compassionate woman.
Thelma is survived by her children; Signe S. Weaver of Sherburne, George O. Weaver and his wife Wendy Ortolano of Sherburne, a sister; Karen (David) Noe of Lansing, MI, and many nieces and nephews. Thelma was predeceased a daughter; Marne L. Weaver, siblings; Marnie (John) Demmer, Kathleen (Harry “Butch”) Demmer, Alexander (Patricia) Olofsson.
In keeping with Thelma’s wishes, there will be no services. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to your local Hospice organization.
