Desiree Christophersen-gladin


HADDOCK, Ga. – Desiree Jean Christophersen-Gladin, 49, of Haddock, Ga., passed away as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Gray, Ga. on March 27, 2010.
Desi was born Feb. 21, 1961, the daughter of Arthur and Lillian Christophersen in Sidney.
Desi grew up in Norwich and was a 1979 graduate of Norwich Senior High School. She attended Morrisville College before moving to Georgia. She was employed by Gray Concrete for 26 years. Desi was predeceased by her parents and brother, Allan.
Surviving are her devoted husband, Shane, and her loving children, Dylan Kennedy Brooks and Daltan Kelsey Jean Brooks of Haddock, Ga. Also surviving , her brothers and sisters, Judith Henchey of Six Lakes, Mich., Karen Thompson and companion Lovie Ives of Norwich, Dennis and Diane Christophersen of Brady, Neb., Susan and Red Boice of Norwich, Benda and Ken Enfield of Boston Lake, LeRoy Christophersen and companion Robin Winchester of Mt. Upton, Timothy Christophersen of Norwich, Barry and Kathy Christophersen of Norwich, Warren and Cindy Christophersen of Grant, Neb., Patricia and William Castaldy of Oxford, Peter Christophersen and companion Joane Ives of Preston, her twin sister Lisa and her husband Glen Abbey of Milledgeville, Ga. and Pamela and Robert Kell of Las Cruces, N.M. along with several nieces and nephews.
Desi will always be remembered for her love of her family and life. She loved the beaches and the outdoors. Her door was always open to needy children.
A Memorial Service for Desi will be held at the Norwich Fire House, April 17 at 1 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend.
Donations in Desi’s memory may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
