WEST EDMESTON – Florence Beulah Ray, 98 years old ,of West Edmeston, passed away March 29, 2010 in Cooperstown.
She was born July 10, 1911 in Clayville, the daughter of Charles & Harriett (Greenmen) Davis. Florence married Charles W. Ray in 1927. He predeceased her in 1970. Her childhood was spent in the Brookfield and Clayville areas where she attended school in a one room school house.
Florence is survived by sons: Edward, Paul and Gary Ray; and daughters: Neva Loomis, Naomi Wright, Martha Brown and Linda Brownell; as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by children Wendell Ray, Charles Ray, Fern Robinson, Leoa Ray and Leon Herbert Ray.
She is also survived by two sisters, five brothers as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Burlington Flats Cemetery, Burlington Flats, with Pastor Jay Henderson officiating. There are no calling hours.
