Arlene Hogan


CLIFTON PARK – Arlene Hogan, 71, of Clifton Park and former resident of the McDonough and Oxford area, passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at the Hospice by the Sea in Boca Raton, Fla.
Arlene was born in Binghamton in June of 1938, the daughter of Winefred and Eva Kneibler Miller. On Oct. 12, 1956 in St. Catherine of Sienna Church in Hillcrest ,she married John (Jack) Hogan, who passed away March 7, 1996. Over the years Arlene has made her home in Hillcrest, Maryland, McDonough, Oxford and Clifton Park. While living in the area she had worked for the Chenango Inn and Preston Manor.
Arlene is survived by her children, Laurie Hayner and husband Paul of Clifton Park, John Hogan of Corpus Christi, Texas and James Hogan and wife Terri of Deposit, her brother James Miller of New Hampshire and her grandchildren, Scott and Nick Hogan, Tanya Newman, Nichole Hayner and Matthew Hogan and her great grandchildren, Jacob, Jack, Lillie and Zachary. Also surviving are her special friends the Whittemore family of Boca Raton, Fla., Doris Potter of Oxford and the Scanlon family of Binghamton.
Memorial services for Arlene will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are with the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home of Norwich.
