George William Hallahan went on to his next big adventure on January 31st, 2022.
He was born December 18th, 1946 in Bay Shore, New York. He was the oldest son of Townsend and Lorraine (John) Hallahan. He spent his childhood years in Levittown, Long Island and Wilton, Connecticut. He graduated from Boston College and began a long career in one of the true loves of his life, computers. He made Boston his home, worked for several of the biggest computer companies- IBM and Digital Equipment Corp. Midlife, he relocated to Keene, New Hampshire, where he started his own company, Integrated Data Systems. George loved being a local businessman in Keene and spent many of his happiest years there known by many. In 2017, he made Norwich, NY his home and spent his time trying to achieve his new goal of meeting everyone in town.
He is survived by: his daughter, Jennifer Nicolay Hallahan and his two grandchildren, Madeline and Myles Nicolay, all of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire; his brother Richard Hallahan of Denver CO; and two sisters Patricia Rutan and Barbara Collins of Norwich; and many, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will hold a celebration of life at a future date.
