Jeannae C. Filippi, 59, of West Edmeston, NY, passed away unexpectedly February 9, 2022 at her home.
Jeannae was predeceased by her mother(s) Nancy ‘Swig’ Caldwell and Nancy ‘Ducky’ Sisco, father(s) Jim Caldwell and Frank Sisco, former husband Robin Straley, son Robin Straley Jr, brother Keith ‘Bo’ Sisco and her beloved pug Stuart Charles. She is survived by her Husband Jim Filippi, daughters Rheiannon (Eric) Beach, Ralissa (Dan Shelton) Straley and Ryann Straley. Step children Michael (Heather Becraft) Filippi and Victoria Filippi and her 7 grandchildren Hannah, Emma, Sophia, Lillianna, Lanie, Carter, and Brady. Jeannae is also survived by her brother Art (Crystal) Sisco, and sisters Jodie Sisco, Robin Sisco and Shirley Peterson as well as many nieces, nephews and brother and sister in laws.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Jeannae moved her family to Mt. Upton, NY in 1988 where she worked various jobs, settling on homemaker for many years before owning Sunsational Tans, a tanning and nail salon, along side one of her best friends Amy Puerile’s salon for many years in Bainbridge, NY.
She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles and listening to music; Lenny Kravitz and Prince being some of her all time favorite artists. She loved the beach, going camping and spending time with one of her other best friends, Maria Simmons and spending Wednesday nights with the “Coffee Girls.”
Jeannae was a one of a kind woman who was known for her witty sense of humor, many facial expressions and the ability to make anyone feel loved and welcome. She loved her children and grandchildren more than anything in this world and loved spending time with her family and friends. She had an amazing soul and touched so many lives; she will be missed by all who were blessed to know her and call her friend or family.
Calling hours will be held at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St. Norwich, on Friday, February 18th from 11-2 with memorial service to follow. Burial Services will take place at a later date in the Spring.
