Carol E. Moore


Carol E. Moore, 77, of Norwich, NY, passed away in her home at Peacock Manor on Thursday, January 20, 2022 in Norwich.
Born in 1944 to Leon Moore Sr. and Lillian (West) Moore, she lived her entire life near her cherished family in and around Sherburne, Smyrna, and Norwich, NY.
In addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by her brothers, Harold Moore, Leon Moore Jr, and her husband, Robert Miller.
Carol is survived by her three daughters; Sherry (William) Marshall of Tiverton, RI, Diane Law of Cuyler, NY, and Penny (Wayne) Johnson of South New Berlin, NY. Carol was blessed with six grandchildren; Derek, Jennifer, Chelsea, Darren, Dustin and Kate, and four great grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Carol is also survived by her sister; Dorothy Taylor (JT) of Midlothian, VA, and two brothers; Donald (Carol) Moore of Norwich and William Moore, of North Norwich, NY. Carol leaves her dear friend, Sam Raffaele and his family, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Carol’s family expresses heart-felt appreciation to her many friends and caregivers who provided Carol with love and support over the years.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday, January 25th, 11 a.m. -1 p.m. at Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 South Main Street, Sherburne, NY, followed by a brief service. Interment will be held at Willcox Cemetery, Earlville (Town of Smyrna), in the spring. To honor Carol, please consider planting a tree in her memory.
