Albert J. Russell, born June 7, 1938, passed away Oct 21, 2021.
He was predeceased by his parents Austin and Violet; brothers Horace and Bob Russell, long time companion Tanis Wagner and friend John Miller. He is survived by his wife Dawn Russell, ex-wife Bertha Wagner and brother Frank Russell and sister in-law Louella Russell; his children Bill Russell, Gene Russell, Diana (Bernard) Brazee, Debbie (Joseph) Hornbeck and Allen (Lisa) Russell; 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 5 step-children;12 step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
Albert is well known in his community of Norwich, N.Y. for his many years in the landscaping business, volunteering and working in his community, auctioning, and playing Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. He loved to wood burn, go camping, BBQ’s, long rides in the country, fishing and visiting to talk about old times.
Arrangements will be back for a graveside burial Spring 2022. Celebration of life will be Sat., Oct 30 at 1 p.m. at Fred’s Inn for family.
In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to help with purchase of stone and other expenses.
