Ruth Miriam Stiess (nee Hampp), age 91, died October 21, 2021, at her home in Norwich, NY with family members by her side. Ruth was born January 23, 1930, in Philadelphia, PA - the second child of Gustav and Edith Hampp. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward William Stiess; and her sister, Mildred Price. Ruth is survived by her brother, Robert Hampp (Kathie); her children, Linda Stiess, Edward (Janet Nobis) Stiess, Martha Simmons, and Timothy (Elizabeth Abbey) Stiess; grandchildren, Edward Simmons, Elizabeth Stiess, and William Stiess; and one great grandchild, Wesley Stiess.

A memorial service will be held at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 37 W. Main Street, Norwich, NY on Thursday, October 28th, at 1 pm.
