Patrick Stone


SHERBURNE – Patrick S. Stone, 32, of Sherburne, passed away Friday evening, March 5, 2010 at home surrounded by his family and friends.
Pat was born in Norwich in April of 1977, the son of Frederick (Skip) and Cathy Rounds Stone Jr. He grew up in the Otselic area where he attended the local school. Pat was a “jack of all trades” and was a self-taught mason. Over the years he had worked for several area business including his last employment with Chenango Valley Pet Foods in Sherburne. He was a man with a firm hand and a bit of stubborn streak, but had a soft spot for animals. Above all else he loved his children and family.
Pat is survived by his children, Dalton Patrick Stone of Otselic, Tessa Lee Stone and Chloe Christy Stone both of DeRuyter, Keifer Scott Stone of Plymouth and Patrick Scott Stone Jr. of Smyrna, his parents Frederick (Skip) and Cathy Rounds Stone Jr. of Sherburne, his grandmother Helen Fink of Norwich and his grandfather Fred Stone Sr. of Pharsalia. Also surviving are his sisters, Lynn (Corey) Prosser of Sherburne, Michele (David) Nelson of Sherburne, his brother Michael (LynnAnne) Stone of Plymouth along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
Pat was predeceased by his grandparents Jesse and Mary Rounds, grandpa Richard Fink, Uncle Justin, nephew Deacon Prosser and a special friend Rich.
Funeral services for Pat will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Neil Bendixen, pastor of the Canasawacta Valley Free Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be at a later date in the West Hill Cemetery of Sherbume.
Friends may call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m.
