Rebecca (Becky) Ann Barrows-Thurston, 64 of McDonough passed away at home on January 21, 2021,
Becky was born in Norwich on March 5, 1956. She was a lifelong resident of McDonough, New York. Becky was married to Paul Thurston, on August 31, 1985.
Becky devoted her life to God and her family as a full-time caretaker of Justine. She was actively involved with the Tuesday McDonough Women’s Club. Passionate about the revamping of the United Methodist Church located in McDonough, and very involved with Chromosomal Research and Development located in San Antonio, Texas.
Becky is survived by her husband, Paul Thurston, and daughter, Justine; sister, Donna (Darrel) Youngs of Goldsboro NC. brother, Michael (Alicia) Barrows of Mills, WY, brother, Ward (Cesia) Barrows of Zephyrhills, FL, and sister, Tina (Brian) Shanks of Snowflake, AZ; two aunts, Shirley Jackson Canham and Anne Jackson Wood. Many nieces, nephews and too many cousins to count.
She is preceded in death by her father, Ward Barrows, and mother, Ellen Jackson Barrows Meade.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to Donna Robb, 575 Creek Road, McDonough, NY 13801 memo line McDonough Church Fund.
The family would like to express their thanks for the outpouring of support given at this time to Paul and Justine.
Friends and family may call at the Smithville Center Christian Church on Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 11:00 AM until noon, with a service to follow.
