Kay Wentworth Buhler


Kay Wentworth Buhler, 61, of Lake Forest, CA died January 3, 2021 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in DeRuyter, NY on May 3, 1959, she was the daughter of the late G. Pierce and Winifred Wentworth. Kay graduated from Otselic Valley Central School in 1977 and shortly thereafter moved to New York City and eventually Yorktown Heights, NY, where she worked as a paralegal and raised her family which were the light of her life. In 2017 she moved to California to be closer to her son.
Kay is survived by her son Michael (Michelle) Buhler and their daughter Danika of Lake Forest, CA, and her daughter Allyson (Stuart) Matthews of England. She is also survived by her siblings David Wentworth of South Otselic, Ann (Ira) Gelber of Cobleskill, Jan Wentworth of Sherburne, William (Caroline) Wentworth of South Otselic, Craig (Bonnie) Wentworth of South Otselic and Kim (Richard Tracy) Wentworth of Homer, one uncle Jack (Nora Bixby) Cutler of Greene, along with several nieces and nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind her faithful companions Chyna and Tyson.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, John of Arizona and Calvin of North Pitcher. A memorial will be held in the spring with burial in the North Pitcher Cemetery.
