William “Bill” Labriola


William “Bill” Labriola, 79, of Smyrna, New York passed away at home surrounded by his family on 11/23/2020.
Bill is survived by his wife Betty Lou of 57 years, son and daughter in law John Mike Labriola, Deborah Labriola, daughter Donna Smith, grandchildren, Emilee Janitz and husband Andrew Janitz, William Labriola, and Matthew Smith, and fiancee Kelly Corbin. Great-grandson Alden Janitz. Brother Frank Labriola and sister Carmela O’Donnell. Bill was predeceased by parents, John and Madeline Labriola. Bill was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone.
Bill worked as a foreman for the printing plant at the US Military Academy (West Point), but was forced to give up the career he loved due to his health. He was charitable and spent his free time raising Beagles, Brittany Spaniels and tending to his sheep farm. He was an outdoorsman, fishing, hunting, sports, were all some of the things that Bill really enjoyed. He also loved coaching his grandsons baseball team. You may also have seen him sitting next to you playing poker at the local casino counting your chips you lost.
A special thank you to the people at Hospice Orange and Sullivan for their loving care and support during his final weeks.
There will be no funeral services. If you would like to make any donations, send them to the Smyrna New York Fire Department or the SPCA.
