Catherine “Kay” Ann Huntley, 82, of South Otselic, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at her home, while surrounded by her family.
Born in Otselic, NY, on October 20, 1938, Kay was the daughter of the late Clarence and Ethel Wilcox Olds. A lifetime resident of the area, in her younger years, she had worked on the family farm where she loved all animals, especially the horses. She had also worked at Smith-Corona, Cortland, for several years and later in life, worked as a housekeeper for many local families.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Arnold Huntley, who, along with her family, took care of Kay during her illness; and her children, Cathy Chilson of Cortland, Betsy (Joe) Faucher of Pitcher, James Brown of Pitcher, Teri (Steven) Wood of S. Otselic, Scott (Lisa) Huntley of S. Otselic, Brian (Joni) Huntley of Smyrna, Craig (Janice) Huntley of S. Otselic, and Frank (Patti) Huntley of S. Otselic. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Wanda Wallingford; an aunt, Elaine “Laine” Oros; and her feline companions, Buffy and Missy Huntley.
A memorial service will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. with Jeanne Angell officiating. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the start of the service at 4:00 p.m. NY State Covid-19 guidelines will be followed.
