Andrew Curley


NEW HARTFORD – Andrew J. “Mick” Curley, 83, of 13 Tamarack Dr., died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010 at his home.
He was born Jan. 9, 1927 in Norwich a son of Neal and Florence Wickham Curley. He graduated from Norwich High School and served in the US Army from 1945-46 in the Pacific Theatre in the 43rd Engineers Construction Battalion. In 1964 he married Brenda Marshall in Norwich. Mr. Curley was a machinist at the Norwich Knitting Mill and retired from the Mohawk Valley Knitting Mill in New York Mills.
He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and its Men’s Club and served as an usher.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter and son-in-law, Eileen and Jack Dulin of Palatka, Fla.; a son, Patrick A. Curley of New Hartford and three grandchildren, Mark and Patrick Dewey of Hadley and Kelly Lee and her husband Dan of Palatka. He also leaves a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lou and John Anagnost of Manlius, a brother and sister-in-law, William and Beverly Curley of Norwich and several nieces, nephews and beloved in laws.
The funeral will be Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford and at 9:30 at St. Thomas Church. Interment will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.
