Donna S. Horman


Donna Susan Horman 68, of Sherburne, formerly of Long Island, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at her home.
She was born November 9, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY, a twin daughter of John Joseph and Ethel May Feeley. She attended PS 171 grammar school, graduated from Franklin K. Lane High School and attended Pace University and NYU. On September 20, 1975, Donna married Ronald W. Horman in St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Woodhaven, NY. She was the Vice President, Director of Human Resources and Trustee at Banca Popolare di Milano, New York City branch for 29 years until retiring. Donna was an amazing woman who was dedicated to many charitable organizations. She was a supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital; participated in many major fundraising events for the Brain Tumor Society; was an active supporter and blood donor to the Red Cross; and was a supporter of humane societies and the S.P.C.A. She had an excellent sense of humor and was a very loving person.
Donna was a member of St. Rafael Catholic Church in East Meadow, NY and the Who’s Who in Banking registry.
Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Ronald; her twin sister, Lillian Nugnes of Sherburne; and a sister, Diane Monigan of Dayton, OH. Also surviving are her nephew and Godson, John F. (Michelle) Monigan and children, Regan, Colleen, Neve Kathleen; niece, Heather (Michael) Monigan Berger and children, Jackson and Kaylee all of Scottdale, AZ; several cousins and will be missed by all her colleagues. She was predeceased by two brothers-in-law who were more like brothers, Frank Monigan and Michael Nugnes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon on Friday, November 30, 2018 at St. Malachy’s Church, Sherburne.
Interment will be in Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, NY at 11:45 am Saturday, December 1st.
There are no calling hours.
