Lawrence M. White, 60, a longtime resident of Norwich passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at his home.

Larry was born on April 22, 1958 in Hempstead, NY the son of Stanley and Barbara (Welch) White. He started school in Unadilla and later attended Norwich High School, graduating with the Class of 1976. In his early working career Larry had worked in the communications industry for Protel, TSI and Nortel. Most recently he was employed by Amphenol as a machinist until his health declined.

Larry was an enthusiastic NASCAR fan and enjoyed collecting NASCAR models and following all of the races with his friends and family.

Larry is survived by his daughter Mandie White and her fiancée Dave Eichler of Chicago, ILL., his father Stanley White and companion Sunnie Linabery of Norwich, his brother Pat White and wife Cristin of Norwich, along with his niece Alisha, nephew Jon and Alisha’s son Dalek. Also surviving is his Aunt Patty Woodard and cousin Jim Woodard. Several other uncles, aunts and cousins also survive.

Larry was predeceased by his mother Barbara White.

A graveside service for Larry will be held on Friday, October 12, at 11 am from St. Paul’s Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours.
