William W. Gray, Jr, age 35, of Vanetten, New York, passed away in his sleep on August 31, 2018. Billy lived his formative years in the Plymouth and Otselic area. He graduated from South Otselic Valley High School in 2002.

Billy was preceded in death by his father, William W Gray, Sr; his sister, Kristy L Gray; maternal grandparents, David and Rose Moon; paternal grandparents, Freddy and Linda Stone; paternal grandfather, Leland Gray.

Billy is survived by his mother, Grace A Gray, and her companion, Bob Foster, from Ithaca, NY; his sister, Jennifer L Cole, and her companion, Pat Bousson, from NYC; his sister, Sara Thompson, and her companion, Neil, from Holmer, NY; his two nieces, Justine and Addison; his two nephews, Jordan and CJ; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Billy held several jobs at restaurants in Norwich and he volunteered at the SPCA and Roots and Wings. In 2015, Billy moved to the Ithaca area after the passing of his father.

He was working as a short cook at Buffalo Wild Wings in Ithaca since 2015. Billy considered his friends and co-workers at Buffalo Wild Wings to be like family.

Billy had a heart of gold and always had a smile on his face. In his free time, you could find Billy hanging out with friends, playing games on his Xbox, eating cheeseburgers, and listening to his favorite band, Metallica.

He was also a huge fan of WWE wrestling his entire life.
Billy’s life was sadly cut too short and he has left this Earth way too soon. He will be tremendously missed by his family and friends, but he will remain in our heart and memories forever.

There will be no calling hours or funeral. However, there will be a celebration of Billy’s life at the Plymouth Firehouse (3461 NY-23, South Plymouth, NY 13844) on October 6, 2018, from 12pm to 4pm for family and friends.
