Lucille Marie Dwyer


Lucille Marie Dwyer (Coletti), of Coventryville, NY, spread her wings on Thursday, September 7, 2018.

Her father, Vincent Coletti was waiting to greet her in heaven. Survived by Lucille are her loving mother, Antoinette Coletti; husband, Edward Dwyer; daughter and son-in-law, Liza (Dwyer) and Joshua Waer; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Jillian Dwyer; her three grandchildren, Maximus, Julianna, and Myla; sister and brother In-law, Terais (Coletti) and Charles McLoughlin and Cathy and Michael Dwyer, and nephews, Daniel and William McLoughlin (wife Molly).

Lucille was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Butler, NJ where she met and married her high school sweetheart and best friend, Edward Dwyer. Lucille went to Wesley College and received her Bachelor’s Degree in teaching.

She taught in Butler, NJ before moving to Coventryville, NY, where they raised their family, made countless memories, and Lu obtained her Masters’ Degree in Reading.

Lucille continued her teaching career, her passion, at Afton Central School for over 20 years. Friends of the family may call from 5-8pm at Root Funeral Home 23 North Chenango Street, Greene, New York 13778 on Friday, September 14, 2018.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 15 Liberty St., Sidney, NY 13838. Repast to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to continue to honour Lucille’s passion in helping children in need to: “Lu’s Kids Memorial Fund” on Go Fund Me, www.gofundme.com/Luskids. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.rootfh.com.
