Deborah Sue Gilbert, age 67, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday morning, July 24th.

She was the daughter of Pete & Millie Gilbert of Beaver Meadow, NY, both of which have pre-deceased her. Debra was born in January of 1951 in Norwich, NY. She was a 1969 graduate of South Otselic High School.

She eventually became a Licensed Practical Nurse after graduating from Central Vocational & Technical Institute in Syracuse, NY, and lived in that city and nearby Manlius for many years. In later years, Debra became confined to a wheelchair and began living with her elder sister, Linda, in West Danby, NY. Besides her sister Linda, Debra is survived by her younger sister, Pamela, her brother-in-law, Dana, both from Sanford, Maine, and a nephew, Eric, and a niece, Kirstyn, both of Brooklyn, NY.

A memorial Service is being planned for a later date. In lieu of cards and flowers, the family requests donations be made to to the ASPCA in recognition of Debra’s love for cats and dogs.
