Richard F. G. Gainfort, 62 years old living in South New Berlin, New York, passed away Tuesday morning, July 24, 2018 while at home, he was born November 11, 1955.

Richard was born in Newark, New Jersey and attended the Newton, New Jersey Elementary and High Schools. His parents are Samuel and Susan (Eckstein) Gainfort who are both deceased. He has two sisters Jeanne (Lehmann) and Melanie (Crane) and two brothers S. Michael and John.

Richard had a difficult life and his final years were complicated by breathing issues.

He held a number of jobs and the more memorable ones were as a construction mechanic, store supervisor, truck driver, and he retired from New York Central Mutual Insurance after 15 years of employment.

While never married, Richard loved his quiet times and spent most of his days on his computer.

He is survived by his Aunt Anna Mae, brothers and sisters, cousins, and many nieces and nephews as well as great and great, great nieces and nephews.

Richard would like everyone to keep him within their hearts and memories as he enjoyed the fond memories of everyone he met.

He has been cremated and will be placed quietly on the mantel.
