Craig Allen Gray


Craig “Cage” Allen Gray, 35, of Oxford, NY passed away unexpectedly due to an ATV accident on June 16, 2018. Craig was born on November 1, 1982.

Craig is survived by his parents Mark Gray and Cathy Brice, and by his daughters Dixie Rose Gray and Anabella Grace Ryan.

He is also survived by his brother and sisters Michael Gray, Amanda Gray, and Angela Hammons.

Craig is also survived by his girlfriend Heather Oneal, his grandmother Marian Brice and his aunts and uncles, Paulette Hohmann, Cynthia Cluff, Carol and Paul Lawrence, Roger Gray and Richard Brice Jr. Craig is survived by many loving family members and friends and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. He is predeceased by his grandparents Chauncey and Naomi Gray, his grandfather Richard Brice Sr. and his uncle Donald Gray.

Craig was a graduate of Oxford Academy High School in 2001 and joined the United States Marine Corps after graduation.

There he began his 12 year long military career.

During his time in the military he held the rank of Sergeant and was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Navy Unit Commendation, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendations (2), Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal (3), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal (W/1 Star), Iraq Campaign Medal (W/1 Star), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (6), NATO Medal, ISAF Afghanistan Certificate of Commendation, Expert Rifle Qualification Badge, Expert Pistol Qualification Badge, and a Marine Corps Martial Arts Qualification Green Belt.

Craig was extremely proud of his time served in the military and of all his accomplishments.

Craig was a dedicated hard-working man, an avid hunter and fisherman and loved having bonfires surrounding himself with family and friends. He will always be remembered as the life of the party.

Craig loved the Rodeo and was one of the founders of The American Made Rodeo Team.

Craig’s family would like to acknowledge and thank all his military buddies and family for their love and support, with a special thank you to Bubba Boeck for all that you have done and continue to do.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Craig’s name can be donated to an organization of your choice with the focus of Suicide Awareness for Military Members returning home.

Friends and family may call at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main Street, Oxford, NY 13830 on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from5:00PM- 8:00PM.

Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 1:00PM with Pastor Rich Howard officiating.

Military Honors will follow the service.
