Wesley passed away on May 29th, 2018.
Wesley was born on 10/21/1940 in Suffern New York. Wesley attended school in Tallman NY and graduated from Suffern High School. Wesley married Karen L. Johnson of Nanuet NY on 1/31/62.
Wesley had only one child, Terri L. (Van Horn) Slater, who was born on 9/1/67. Wes worked at XEROX Corporation for over 30 years travelling from New York State to Texas with the company. Upon leaving Xerox, he and his family relocated to Norwich, NY. He had fond memories of Chenango County after hunting here many years ago. Wesley also had a love for sports and was a life long fan of the Green Bay Packers. He could be seen in the community wearing his Packers Jacket and ball cap and loved to talk to other fans as he went about. He spent a lot of his retirement years taking bus trips with various senior groups. He loved going to a great show or festival and meeting new friends.
Wesley is survived by his wife Karen Van Horn, Daughter Terri Slater, Her Husband Mark D Slater and grandchildren, Sarah Slater, Tyler Slater, and Shawn Slater. He also left behind his beloved little dog Willie... We will certainly miss him, but we will always keep his memory close in our hearts. There will be no formal services just a private gathering of his loved ones.
