Patricia Gonyea


SOUTH OTSELIC – Patricia Ann Gonyea, 69, of South Otselic, passed away Oct. 1, 2006, at her home, after a long illness.
Pat was born in Boston, Mass., on April 18, 1937, daughter of Helen Woodman. She resided in North Brookfield, Mass., prior to moving to Otselic in 1992 and taking employment with Kimberly Quality Care. A certified nursing assistant, she had also worked for Hospice and Chenango Memorial Hospital. Pat was a simple person at heart, a giving and caring person, always there for family and friends, and could recite every family member’s birthday right off the top of her head. In leisure time, she enjoyed frequenting the casinos.
Pat is survived by her companion of 22 years, Robert McDonald of Otselic; by her children: Sherry Orne and husband Skip of Leominster, Mass., Michael McGraw and companion Kendra of South Plymouth; Earlene Witowski and husband Steven of Orange, Mass., Randall Gonyea of Otselic, and Brian Gonyea of Clinton, Mass. She was predeceased by her sons. Earl Gonyea and Wayne McGraw. Pat is also survived by grandchildren: Matthew Thompson, Michael McGraw, Amanda McGraw, Christy Tata, Erin Gustafson, Sarah Downes, Jamie Emich, Wayne Witowski; Dylan, Gabrielle, Olivia, and Amelia Gonyea; and Fabrian Pierce; and by seven great grandchildren.
Memorial services for Pat will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Beaver Meadow Christian Church, with the Rev. Jeremy Stopford officiating. Interment at the family’s convenience will be in Massachusetts.
