Steven H. Golley


Steven H. Golley, 64, of Route 20, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018.
Steve was born September 13, 1953 in Oneida, a son of Howard J., Jr. and Barbara
Grinnell Golley. He was part of a large family, and lived a life full of hard work, adventures, and unshakeable curiosity. Steve worked for his family farm, and then for Pierce Auto Parts in Bouckville early in his life. He owned and operated Steve’s Satellite TV for many years, and later did home repair as the House Whisperer. Steve was a musician and songwriter who was involved with the Central New York music scene for over 30 years. He often played with his band Bag ‘A’ Bones that he founded in 1992, performing at many local charitable events. He was the type of man who would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Steve was a loving son, brother, father, partner, and friend.
Surviving are his mother, Barbara Golley of Morrisville; his children, Shawn Golley, and Megan Golley; grandchildren, Lisa Armlin, Chloe Armlin, Jack Armlin; his siblings: Rick and Marcie Golley of Norwich, Leonard Golley of Utica, Philip and Kim Golley of Malta, Patty and Jeff Richmond of Morrisville, Ken and Anna Golley of Chittenango, Beverly and Pete Howlett of Watson, Roger Golley of Jamaica Plains, MA, Jeff and Kelly Golley of Morrisville, Barb Golley of Morrisville, Jerry and Lisa Golley of Vienna, Va. Steve had several nieces and nephews, and many beloved friends. He was predeceased by his father, Howard Golley (February 2015) and his son Michael Paul Golley (July 1986).
Services will be held at 4pm Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday from 2-4pm prior to the service.
