Jonathan Lee Carpenter, 58, of New Berlin, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, N.Y. following heart failure.
Jon was the son of Claude and Harriett (More) Carpenter of Norwich, both who survive. He is survived by lifelong partner Sandy Scott, his daughter Michelle Young, and her children, Felicity, Haley and
Heather Young, great grandson Blake Young; his son Jonathan J. Carpenter, and his son, Jonah Carpenter of Ohio. Jonathan was the oldest of five children, who all survive, David Carpenter and wife Patricia, Elaine Carpenter, Laurie Carpenter and husband Richard Kuss, and Wayne Carpenter and wife Cathy, along with many nieces and nephews.
Jonathan served for over 30 years as a volunteer with the New Berlin and Pittsfield Fire Departments. He loved fishing, boating, camping out and had a passion for music. To his friends, he was lovingly known as “Jonnyrocker” and was a favorite local DJ for many local events. He will be missed.
