Christopher D. Harvey


Christopher D. Harvey, 46 of Oxford passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2018. Chris was born in Norwich, NY, son of David and Joan (Miles) Harvey.
Chris is survived by his son Nicholas Harvey, his parents David and Joan Harvey, and his sister Darlene and Rob Sheffer. He is also survived by nephews Justin and Ryan Sheffer and the mother of his child Heather McCullough. Also surviving are many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, loving friends, colleagues and fishing partners. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Chris was a graduate of Oxford Academy and Central Schools, Delaware Law Enforcement Academy, and Corning Community College. He was Cadet Police officer for the Oxford Police Department, and a Corrections Officer for the Tioga Sheriff’s Department. He was also a security guard for Macy’s, Sears, and Bradley’s, and a Police officer of the Addison Police Department and a promotions manager for Dead Fish Custom Baits. Chris was an avid fisherman and a talented guitar player. He was a loyal father, son and brother. Living life by his favorite quote “Always pray for dreams to come true, never give up…EVER.”
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Christopher’s name can be made out to the Epilepsy Foundation NE, 3 Washington Square, Albany, NY 12205.
Memorial service will be held at Behe Funeral Home Inc. 21 Main Street, Oxford, NY 13830 on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Larry Cronk officiating. Family wishes to invite everyone to a gathering at the Oxford Fire Department following the memorial service.
