Darlene Y. Daios, 57 yrs. old of West Edmeston, NY passed away on January 22, 2018 at her home.
Darlene was born on September 24, 1960 in Warwick, NY the daughter of Daniel Daios and Eileen Daios Crover.
Darlene was a very warm & caring person who was always the first to reach out to those in need and was a great contributor for children living with cancer. She had a great love of animals and enjoyed flea markets, garage sales, thrift shops, Ebay & bottle digging and fishing. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for her quick one liners. Drama had no place in her life. She always had a “can do attitude” and was a leader for those in hard time. When she spoke, you listened. She was never one to mix words and will always be remembered for her warm heart full of love and compassion.
Darlene was predeceased by her father Daniel Daios, mother, Eileen Lowkis Daios Crover, Thomas Edwards Jr. & her very special pet, Chester.
She is survived by the love of her life, Thomas Edwards, his children whom she loved as much as her own; Jessica Edwards, Kristin and her husband Richard Monroe, grandchildren; Hayden Edwards and Jade Monroe, brothers; Tim Daios of New Berlin, NY, Gregory & his wife Kim Daios of Vernon, NY, niece, Sarah Gage and great niece Leila. Her very special sisterhood of friends; Patti Flanagan, Valerie Bragaglia & Audrey Miller, step sister; Denise Nelson of Fl. & several aunts, uncles & cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 4:00 PM at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin, NY.
Calling hours will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM prior to the funeral services on Saturday also at the funeral home.
