Yvonne S. Titus

Yvonne S. Titus, 88, longtime Norwich resident and an integral part of Titus Plumbing and Heating passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at her home.
Yvonne was born on November 7, 1929 in Coventry the daughter of Clyde and Olga (Dewitt) McLain. She attended the one room school house in Coventry and later attended/graduated from the Greene Central school. On June 12, 1948 she married Kenneth Titus Sr., who passed away January 23, 1992. Yvonne was a very (behind the scenes) important part of the business for 40 plus years. She kept the boys in line, as much as she could, and made sure the business ran smoothly. She continued, along with her son Skip, to operate the business following the death of her husband.
In her “down” time, Yvonne enjoyed spending time at their camp on Melody Lake, LOVED the company Christmas parties where she was known to really let her hair down, liked a good game of pitch or a card game called spite & malice and quietly knitting.
Yvonne leaves behind her loving son Kenneth (Skip) Titus, Jr.; her brother Glenn ( wife-Virginia) McLain of Panama City, FL, grandchildren Catherine ( husband-Gary) Weisse Lucarini and Robert (Robby) Weisse. Also surviving is her son-in-law Frederick (wife-Joanette) Weisse along with nieces, nephews and many friends in the Norwich area.
Besides her husband Ken, Yvonne was predeceased by her daughter Lind M. Weisse and her sisters Marie Danynard and Ellen Johnson.
Friends may call at the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home on Thursday, January 24, from 5-8 pm. A graveside service for Yvonne will be held in the spring from the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Please consider memorial contributions to the American Red Cross, P.O.Box 37839, Boone, IA, 50037-0839, the American Cancer Society, P.O.Box 22478, Oklahoma City, 73123, or to the American Diabetes Association 2451 Crystal Drive, S 900, Arlington, VA 22201.
