Richard D. Latourette, Sr.


Richard D. LaTourette, Sr. 83 of Oxford passed away unexpectedly on January 2, 2018 at his home. On November 19, 1955 he married E. Jane LoVette, who survives.
Besides his wife, Jane, he is survived by his children and spouses, Richard D. LaTourette, Jr., Gelenda and David Seaman II, Bryant and Denise LaTourette, Alice and Arthur Papaceno, Mark LaTourette and Denise Cooper, Karen and John Chargo and James Pavone; his grandchildren, Richard LaTourette III, Richard LaTourette IV, David Seaman III, Heather Seaman, Erica LaTourette, Cosmo Papaceno, Bryant LaTourette, Jr., Nichole Papaceno, Chad Walls, and Tamra Kueider; his sister, Alice Clark and his brother, John LaTourette. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Dorothy Thorpe, Jean Werner, Sarah Cook, William LaTourette, Eleanor Pavone, and Ruth Shepard.
Rich moved to Oxford and founded LaTourette Rapid Reproductions. He was a member and past master of Oxford Lodge #175 F&AM and a member of the Oxford Rotary Club for many years. He served on the Oxford Town Board as a councilman and as Town Supervisor. He was a member of the Chenango County Council of the Arts. He was the founder of the Oxford Finally Got A Regatta raft race. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War and was a member of Fort Hill Post #376, American Legion. He was an avid card player, especially poker.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced.
