Betty "swift" Benedict


Betty (Swift) Benedict 87, of Oxford, NY passed away on December 30, 2017. She was predeceased by her parents Lonnie and Merle (Miner) Swift, her husband Donald Benedict Sr. in 1990 and her son Donald Benedict Jr. in 2015. She was also predeceased by her fiancé Robert Jackson in 2007.
Betty is survived by her children David and Mary Benedict of Oxford, NY, Tom and Patti Benedict of Asheboro, NC, Pat Liechtefeld and Henry Root of Smithville Flats, NY, Nancy Moore of Warren, OH, Norma Davis of Oxford, NY, Carol and Terry Marvin of Unadilla, NY, and Joanne and Jim Dean of Preston, NY. Betty is also survived by her brothers Raymond Swift of Binghamton, NY and Dick and Kathy Swift of Norwich, NY, and her sisters Beverly Lillquist of Friendsville, PA and Sylvia and Dale West of Greene, NY.
Also surviving are many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Betty was a member of The United Church of Oxford and belonged to The Order of the Eastern Star Lafayette Chapter #340 Oxford, NY where she was serving as associate matron.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Betty’s memory may be made to the United Church of Oxford PO Box 566, Oxford, NY 13830.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Behe Funeral Home Inc. 21 Main Street, Oxford, NY 13830. Friends and family may call at the United Church of Oxford on Monday, January 1, 2018 from 12:00PM- 2:00PM, Order of the Eastern Star service will begin at 2:00 PM and funeral services will follow with Rev.
