Charlie Albert Frayer, Sr., 77, a longtime resident of Norwich, died peacefully at his home on December 16, 2017. Charlie was born on Hale St. on October 28, 1940, the son of Leonard and Jane (Blood) Frayer. He grew up on his family’s farm in Holmesville which he really enjoyed. He also loved to spend time hunting and fishing. Charlie started working at Norwich Mills on October 18, 1957 and continued there until the closing of the plant on October 18, 1994. He then worked at Chenango Memorial Hospital until he retired due to an injury. On July 1st, 1992, Charlie married Leanne M. (Russock) Frayer who survives him. He is also survived by his sons, Charlie Jr., and Matt and Rena Frayer; his stepson, Jason Wetmore and Katrina Towndrow; his sister, Blondie Davis; as well as six grandchildren. In keeping with Charlie’s wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to R.J. Fahy Funeral Home.
