Patricia A. Schutt


Patricia A. “Pat” Schutt, went to be with her Lord Jesus, November 24, 2017 with her husband of 50 years, Richard, at her side. She was 77 years old.
Born on August 19, 1940, in Oneonta, NY, Patricia was raised by her mother and step-father Ernest and Ann (Zupevic) Renwick. Pat graduated from Oneonta High School in the Class of 1958.
Pat worked for several jobs in Oneonta prior to her employment at the Buick Pontiac dealership, where she would meet her future husband, Richard “Dick” Schutt. On December 10, 1966, Pat and Dick were married in Schenevus and soon after relocated to Norwich.
Pat began her career as Executive Secretary for Ed O’Hara at the Norwich Knitting Mill. Pat later worked in many local businesses through Manpower including Victory Markets, Procter & Gamble, Brown Law Offices, NBT Bank in the trust department, and more recently at the Calvary Baptist Church. She retired in 1995. In retirement, Pat loved to craft, including sewing and painting. She was also a great cook for her whole family.
In addition to her beloved husband, Pat is survived by two sons, Jack (Cornelia) DeLong, Jr. of
Tallahassee, FL, and Stephen (Sandy) Schutt, of Beaver Meadow; her three grandchildren, Michelle (Sean) O’Dell of Brockport, NY, Melinda (Jared) Ramsey of Clay, NY, and Bryce Schutt of Beaver Meadow, NY; six great-grand-children, Liam and Kathryn O’Dell, Wyatt, Emma, Lane, and Claire Ramsey. She was predeceased by her brothers George and Martin Buzie, and her grandson, David Fitch. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
