Ivan M. Mead, 62 of McDonough, NY passed away on September 7,
2017. Ivan was born in Norwich, NY. Son of Neil and Phyllis Mead. He
married his wife Heather (Shore) Mead on July 30, 2016. Ivan is predeceased
by his father Neil and good friend John Griffith “Papa Jack”.
Ivan is survived by his wife Heather, and his mother Phyllis. He is
also survived by his sons Michael and Lynn Mead and Michael Potter
as well as his daughters Tammy and Steve Hammond, Theresa and CJ
Williams, Colleen Mead and Gary Steeley, Kimberlyn Mead and Jered
Shurtleff and Alexandria Shore. His brothers Dennis and Kathy Mead,
Tim and Patricia Mead and his sisters Diane and Terry Oary, Penny and
Ken Baxter, Patricia and Dave Murray, Carol and Jim Masters, and Vicki
and Gene Vigus. Ivan is also survived by his grandchildren Justin Mead,
Brian Mead, Dawson Mead, Dominic Williams, Stephen Hammond,
Amanda Hammond, Camric Williams, Elaina Norris, Arianna Arasim,
and Ezra Steeley. Also surviving are his dear and beloved friends Timothy
Robertson, Clyde Manwarren, Jesse and Darlene Villarreal and Joan
Griffith. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Ivan was a member of the McDonough Fire Department and of the
North-East Pony Pull Association. He enjoyed camping, pony pulls, and
made Mead Maple Syrup.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Behe Funeral Home Inc.
21 Main Street, Oxford, NY 13830. Friends and family may call at the
funeral home on Monday, September 11, 2017 from 10:00AM- 12:00PM
and from 6:00PM- 8:00PM. Funeral services will follow at 8:00PM
with Rev. Mat Frayer officiating. Grave side services will take place
on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM at McDonough Union
Cemetery.
