Ryan P. Bowers, 38, passed away unexpectedly on April 10, 2017. He was born on August 16, 1978 in Norwich and grew up in the area graduating from Oxford High School. He was known as a gifted artist who used his talents to invent numerous projects. He was a kind hearted gentle soul, always ready to lend a helping hand to a friend or family member. Those who knew him will miss his presence dearly. Ryan is survived by his daughter, Kiura Bowers; his mother and step-father, Linda and Michael Kane; his twin brother, Joshua Bowers and Brandi Irons; his niece and nephew, Zane Bowers and Kaylie Bowers, who knew him as “Uncle June Bug”; his unborn nephew, Kyle Bowers; his aunts and uncles, Mickey and Edson Kitchen, Michelle and John Cook, Sandra Monroe, Debbie Mirabito, and Tim Ryan; many cousins and his best friend, Arnie Whitehill. Ryan was predeceased by his father, Robert Bowers; his grandparents, Fred and Lorena Bowers, and Tom Ryan; his great grandmother, Jean White; and his uncle, Michael Bowers. A funeral service will take place at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, April 19, at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St. Norwich with Pastor Jeremy Stopford officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until the time of service.
