Margaret E. Wall, 93 of Oxford died on March 8, 2017 at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich. She was born on February 10, 1924 in South New Berlin a daughter of the late Hubert and Sarah (Chubb) Potter. On August 20, 1944 in the First Baptist Church of South New Berlin, she married James M. Wall, who passed away on May 10, 2003.
She is survived by her children; Mary and husband John Cordick of Sherburne, Melinda Anderson of Norwich, Monroe and wife Becky Wall of Pitcher, James M. Wall, Jr. of Oxford, and John Wall of Cincinnatus; grandchildren, Lucinda Jipson of South New Berlin, Brian and Crystal Jipson of Mt. Upton, Kimberly, Corey and Brianne Wall of South New Berlin, and Emily Wall of Pitcher’ her great grand- children, Jesse and Kevin Thomas of South New Berlin, and Natalie Jipson of Mt. Upton. She was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara, sister, Alice, and her brother, Arnold.
Margaret raised six children, while also working at Crescent Corset Factory, W.T. Grant’s and Carl’s Drug Store in Norwich. She enjoyed reading westerns, playing pitch, collecting Avon and going to garage sales.
