GEORGE S. SIMPSON, JR
George S. Simpson, Jr., 59 of Oxford passed away on March 5, 2017 at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, NY. He was born on March 25, 1957 in Norwich a son George Stephen and Domiana (Merlino) Simpson, Sr.
He is survived by his father George Stephen Simpson, Sr and his wife Rose of Norwich; his children, Cristen Simpson of Sherburne, Stephen and Misty Simpson of Norwich, and Aubry Simpson of Preston; his grandchildren, Breanna Simpson, Logan Simpson, Emma Richard and Rylee Rickard; his brother, Michael and Betty Simpson of Lakeland, FL; his sisters, Louise Jones of Ft. Walton Beach, FL and Doris McNitt of McDonough. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
George served in the US Air Force. He loved music, especially playing the guitar, ukulele and his harmonica. He loved open mike night and entertaining at the NYS Veterans Home.
Services will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford, NY with Rev. Jeremy Stopford officiating.
