MARY P. ORZECK (MANIA)
Mary P. Orzeck (Mania), 84, of New Berlin, NY, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long and valiant struggle with cancer. Born on September 23, 1932, in Blooming Grove, NY, she was the middle daughter of the late Joseph (JaJa) and Mary (Babu) Janiak. Mary was a farm girl at heart and loved every and all animals. A meticulous bookkeeper she retired twice from Remax 1st Class in Clearwater, FL, before moving back home to NY to be with her boys. She enjoyed crafting and anyone who knew her has a cross stitch, needlepoint, crocheted or knitted item.
Mary is survived by her three sons, Andrew and Mickey (Coveny), of New Berlin, Joseph, of New Berlin, Dr. Richard and Theresa (Petry), of Trumansburg, Grand-daughter Sabina, of Largo, FL, Brother Vincent and Mary Janiak of Randleman, NC, Cousin George and Carol Wontz, sisters-in-law Helen Petrozak and Patricia Greco and more beloved nieces and nephews than you can count. Mary graced the lives of all who knew her with her charm, courage and big generous heart.
She was predeceased by her former husband Richard Orzeck, of Beverly Hills, FL, her sister Rosie and brother-in-law Charles Maly of Ellenville, NY.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, February 8th at the Dakin Funeral Home, 17 North Main St., New Berlin, NY, between 11:00 - 12:00 with a service following officiated by Dick Anderson. On Thursday, February 9th, at 1:00, she will be laid to rest with her parents with a Catholic committal service at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Florida, NY.
The family would like to thank the staff at Chase Memorial Nursing Home for the care and compassion to Mary and her family.
